Joe Aulds THE CALDWELL WATCHMAN-COLUMBIA, LOUISIANA Obituaries Mary Elizabeth Poole "Mollie" McCarty December 14, 1907 August 2, 2002 it 5 1' Columbia First United Methodist Church VBS First United Methodist Church in Columbia invites everyone to come and enjoy the fun and fellowship, August 11-13, from 5:30 p.m. til 8:30 p.m. during Vacation Bible School. A meal will be served each night beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The men will be providing the meal on Sunday night. Monday night features a Mexican theme, while Tuesday night showcases Italian. After the meal, around 6:30 p.m., everyone will gather in the sanctuary for a brief time before going to individual classes. There will be something for everyone from nursery through adults. The classes will focus on God's creation, the stormy seas, and Pentecost.

At the end of the evening, everyone will come together again for a short time. Squire Parsons to perform in Columbia Old Bethel Baptist Church will hold their revival services through Wednesday, August 14 at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev Joe Aulds will be the guest evangelist for these services. Evangelist Aulds, who now resides just outside of Ruston, is a native of Union Parish.

He is a graduated of Spearsville, Louisiana High School, Louisiana College and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.He surrendered to God's call to preach when he was a senior in high school, he has preached revivals in 50 states. The pastor of Old Bethel Church, Bro. Benton Moore, invites everyone 1f Webber D.D. officiating. Graveside services and interment was followed for family members at Roseficld Cemetery, Rosefield, LA.

Services were under dirtection of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. She is survived by her sister, i 'Grace Bell; and two daughters; Gwendolyn Beckley of Lake Charles, and Elizabeth Glenney of Houston, Texas. In lieu of flowers, for those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Rosefield Cemetery Fund, CO R.S. Tullos, HC 86 Box 46, Grayson, LA 71435 or the First Baptist Church of Harrisonburg, P.O.Drawer 356, Harrisonburg, LA 71340. Mary Elizabeth Poole "Mollie" McCarty, 94, passed away August 2, 2002.

She was the eldest of five children born to the late Lucinda and Cleeve Poole. She born in Sherwood, Louisiana on December 14, 1907. "Miss Mollie" was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ross Roy McCarty, her stepfather, Varner Ratcliff, brother Grady poole, two sisters: Leola Eubanks and Florence Hardee and her son-in-law, Bill Beakley. Visitation was held at the First Baptist Church of Harrisonburg, LA. on Monday, August 5, 2002 with a celebration of her life following at 1 p.m.

Mrs. Gracie Mae Poole Halley was born on December 31,1923 to the union of her parents the late Frank and Katie Mae Richmond Poole and died Tuesday, August 6, 2002. She preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Halley. Survivors include one son, Charles "Chuck" Halley of Monroe; two daughters: Layne Edgar of Houston, Texas, and Charlon Nowland of Jena; two sisters: Bettie Osar of Hebert, and Bobbie Jean Smith of Aim well.

Patriotic Service A Patriotic Service saluting local military, firefighters, law enforcement, and medical support personnel will be held on Wednesday, September 1 1, 2002 at the Dixie Youth Ball Park, Caldwell Crusade Tent beginning at 7 p.m. Past and present from the above mentioned groups are invited to be honored in this special service. We welcome and encourage you to wear the uniform of your profession, if possible. A combined eighty-voice choir from several area churches will present "Land of the a musical tribute to God and Country. A Nursery Tent will be provided for children birth through three years old, and a "Kids for Christ Tent will be provided for children preschool through 3rd grade.

The club meetings every Wednesday night from 6:30 till 8:30 p.m. will be jam-packed with life-changing experiences. She departed from this life on Wednesday, July She was preceeded in death by her husband, Handy Wiley, Jr. and her son, Charles C. Wiley. She is survived by two daughters" Luella (Robert) McDonald of Maywood, IL and Margie (Bluith) Moore of Columbia; two sons, Henry T. (Mary Alice) Wiley, Sr.

of Grayson, Oliver Wiley of Broadview, IL; Angie Allen of Oakland, CA. Crossover Outreach Ministries The Bible Study and Clothing Ministry reopened August 6. J.D. Lee, 89 of Louisiana Pacific Plywood and a Urania were at the Urania First Baptist Church with Rev. Jack McKeithen and Rev. Bo Prather officiating. Interment followed at the Urania Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla.

He was born on October 21, 1912 to the union of Henry and Mary Clark Lee. He died at the Hardtner Medical Center in Urania on August 8, 2002. He was a retired oiler at member of the Urania First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Anna Lowe Lee of Urania, a son J.D. Lee, Jr.

of Webster, Texas; two daughters: Mary Sue Womack of Homer and Earline Johnson of Urania; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Joel Sims, Bobby Connell, Joel Williams, C.H.
