Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Evans, Leonard Graham, Edward Roberts, Billy Lewis and Elyn Campbell Lyles. ANNE ELIZABETH BLACK DUPREE EDWARDS Funeral services for Elizabeth Edwards, 71, of Delhi, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2002 at the First Baptist Church of Delhi with the Rev. Marcus Murphy officiating. Burial followed in Delhi Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Cox i vi of Funeral Home II VI nt I' National Junior Honor Society Shown above are the new officers of the National Junior Honor Society at Riverfield Academy.

They include, left to right, President-Megan Williams, Vice President, Anna Crawford, Secretary-Brittney Mallett, Treasurer-Rachel Head, and Historian-Samantha Perry. Riverfield Academy select National Junior Honor Society Delhi. Mrs. Edwards passed away at 8:07, Sunday, June 9 at her residence after a long and valiant battle against Multiple Myeloma. She was involved in the medical field and various businesses throughout her life.

She was born June 5, 1931 to parents, Fred and Pauline Black. Adcock, Matt Branch, Beth Cooper, James Doughty, Britney Fuller, Jennifer Gibson, Katie Head, Kirstyn Heath, Heather Hinton, Brandon Hutchinson, Thomas Johnson, Nic Jones, Hiedi Lee, Sara Leggitt, Andy Lofton, Brent Mason, Kelsey Morris, Lauren Noble, Tyler Ogden, Brandon Tanner, Mallory Seymour, Emilee Trisler, Becky Upton and David Womack. The John Ray Chapter of the National High School Honor Society also installed their officers and new members were inducted. Debby Shelton and Donnie Foster serve as sponsors of the High School Honor Society and Mary Ellen White is advisor to the Junior Honor Society. The evening concluded' with delightful refreshments served to all the members and their families.

An impressive induction service was held May 14, with officers installed in a candle lighting service. Emily Jordan was soloist for the event and Susan Clark was the speaker giving a challenge to the young students by using their criteria of scholarship, character, citizenship, dependability and leadership. New inductees for the Riverfield Chapter include: Hunter Delhi were held at 10 a.m. on June 6, at Robinson Baptist Church with the Rev. Clyde Piercy officiating.

Burial followed in Faith Memorial Park Cemetery in Delhi, under the direction of Cox Funeral Chapel. Mr, Martin was a retired electrician. He was a member of Robinson Baptist Church and was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Military rites were conducted at the gravesite. Mr.

Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Junior Martin and Tidy McCoullah Martin; brother, Louis "Buck" Martin; and two sisters, Susie Belle Martin and Ruth Milby. Survivors include his wife, Mary Christine Martin of Delhi, LA; son and daughter-in-law, Danny Lynn Martin and Kathy Martin of Baton Rouge, LA; daughter and son-in-law, Gayle Laventon and Lester Laventon of Delhi, LA; grandson, Jason Martin; five granddaughter, Kristy Martin, Courtney Martin, Lorin Laventon, Ra'gan Laventon and Shannon Laventon; great-grandchild, Cain Jenkins; brother, T.J. Martin of Gilbert, LA; sister, Mattie Sanders of Winnsboro, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were W.H. Sanders, Mike Martin, Keith Antley, Jerry Foote, W.B.

Sumner and Timmy Hutchinson. Honorary pallbearer was Jason Martin. HELEN CUTLER LANE Funeral services for Helen Cutler Lane, 86, of Delhi, were held at 1 1 a.m. on June 10 at Delhi United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe Rountree officiating.

Burial followed in Delhi Masonic Cemetery in Delhi under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi. Any planned memorials may be made to the Delhi United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer L. Cutler and Ivah D. Pike Cutler; and her husband, William Patrick Lane Sr.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, William Patrick Lane Jr. and Kirk Lane of Lake Village, and James Michael Lape and Debi Lane of Pace, FL; daughter, Linda L. Newton of Ruston, LA; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Matt Zimmerer, Gaylon Owens, John Cutler, Charles Hixon, Melvin Oswell, Tommy James, Norman Grantham and Bruce Bagwell. GRACE DEGGANS DUNHAM Funeral services for Grace Deggans Dunham, 93, of Winnsboro, were held at 3 p.m.

on June 10 at Cox Funeral Chapel in Delhi with the Rev. Everett Geis officiating. Burial followed in Delhi Masonic Cemetery in Delhi under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Deggans and Annie Cook Deggans; her husband, Noble W. Dunham; and grandson, John Keith Dunham.

Survivors include three sons Fred Dunham of Baskin, Thomas E. Dunham of Clinton, and Bobby F. Dunham of LaFayette, CA; two sisters, Rebecca Roberts of Baskin, and Frances Lyles of Mangham, LA; 10 grandchildren; and eight CCC interest rates for 2002 down Commodity Credit Corporations variable interest rate for 2002 commodity loans disbursed in June 2002 is 3.375 percent per annum, down .250 from the May rate. USDA's Farm Service Agency administers CCC's commodity loan program for corn, cotton, rice, grain sorghum, soybeans, sugar and wheat. Mrs. Edwards will be remembered for her interest in and concerm for others. She loved her family and friends and gave unselfishly of herself to them.

She will be missed greatly by all who knew her, but sweet memories will linger on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure to know her. She is survived by her husband, Dr. George Edwards; son, John E. Dupree and family of Delhi; daughter, Dorla Parker and family of Delhi; brother, Charles A. Black and family of Delhi; and sister, Polly Goodman and family of Longview, TX.

She is also survived by four grandchildren, Shelton Parker III, Randy Parker, Niki Wooden, Holly Dupree, one greatgrandchild, Austin; two step great-grandchildren, Baylea and Avery; and many nieces and nephews. Other survivors are stepchildren, Dr. Danny Edwards, Tommy Edwards, Karen Walters, Judy Jacobs and their families. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Fred and Pauline Black. Also, by her first husband, John E.

Dupree, Sr. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Shelton Parker III, Randy Parker, Jeffrey Wooden, nephews, Billy Goodman, Allen Goodman, and great-nephews, Nathan Nosser and Jon-Taylor Davis. Honorary pallbearers were the doctors of the Delhi Clinic; along with Dr. Tom Weeks, Dr. David Fagan and Dr.
